Endangered
The well-being of breasts and their owners is under a constant threat. Approximately 1 out of every 8 women will get breast cancer during their lifetime. Over 40,000 will die from the disease this year alone. For those not claimed by the cancer, survival can come at a price of disfigurement and treatments which cause discomfort and hair-loss.
How does a page full of boobs help fight breast cancer?
1. The main purpose of this page is to raise awareness and put the issue in your face. You'll find as you browse the photos that a number of them have a "cancer". The frequency of this is the same as the frequency of breast cancer in real life.
2. We encourage you to subscribe to this page. Doing so will give money to breast cancer charities, to the women who post photos of themselves, and allow us to continue spreading our message and raising awareness. In addition, you will get higher-quality images when browsing and won't see "cancers" on the images anymore.
Why show healthy breasts, wouldn't photos of mastectomies be more effective?
We feel that positive reinforcement works better. People want to see healthy breasts, so it gives us more chance to expose people to our message. Let's work to promote mammary health, not dwell on the after-effects of cancer. We can gain far more ground and make a more positive change by raising awareness and educating people than by trying to scare and disgust them.
